Da Torre San Gregorio<\/strong> sono possibili diverse escursioni nelle cittadine piccole e grandi delle vicinanze, ognuna delle quali promette interessanti attrattive che possono comprendere sia stupendi tratti di mare che centri storici di eccezionale bellezza, o ancora siti archeologici di importante valore per scoprire la vita delle popolazioni nella regione, che in alcuni casi risale addirittura a 5 6 millenni prima di Cristo.<\/p>\n

Una delle mete pi\u00f9 prossime a Torre San Gregorio \u00e8 Torre Vado<\/strong><\/a>, una piccola cittadina che si affaccia sulla costa ionica distante appena qualche chilometro. E’ un paese che si \u00e8 molto sviluppato soprattutto negli ultimi vent’anni grazie ad un accresciuto interesse turistico che non ha compreso solo il fatto che la costa qui si addolcisce nelle splendide spiagge di Pescoluse<\/strong> e delle marine di Salve<\/strong>, ma anche perch\u00e8 la localit\u00e0 \u00e8 al centro di un territorio che offre a visitatori e turisti tante cose da vedere e da fare.<\/p>\n

\nTorre Vado possiede una graziosa marina, e da qui cominciano le distese di sabbia che si susseguono praticamente ininterrotte per decine di chilometri, ed un grazioso porticciolo che negli ultimi anni si \u00e8 ammodernato ed ingrandito, diventando una delle mete preferite da chi veleggia lungo le coste meridionali della Puglia, anche s per ora pu\u00f2 accogliere solo imbarcazioni di piccola stazza.<\/p>\n

A dominare il paese la torre di guardia che da il nome alla localit\u00e0, una delle tante che contraddistinguono la costa salentina, edificate quando il mare era non solo una risorsa ma anche un grande pericolo per le continue incursioni dei saraceni e dei turchi.<\/p>\n

Il paese offre notevoli opportunit\u00e0 anche per il soggiorno durante le vacanze, dagli appartamenti in affitto ai bed&breakfast, dagli hotel ai residence ai campeggi, e alla sera \u00e8 particolarmente piacevole una passeggiata su lungomare, magari per ammirare l’attivit\u00e0 dei pescatori e delle loro pittoresche imbarcazioni.<\/p>\n
